Let's Play Catch Up! (June-July-August 2012)
We had full intentions of posting every week, then the goal was once a month. Well three months later, here we are. Lucky for us, we have had two very good reasons for getting behind! We promise to try to post more than once every three months!
Catching up...
Growth & Development--
Grace and Lily are growing like weeds. They have had their two month check up and then their four month check up complete with those fun little immunizations. We also had our "clinic" appointment at WakeMed with the neonatologists to check to see how they are developing. The doctors were blown away at their growth and development. The girls are both on the growth curve for their corrected age and just on the curve for their chronological age. Lily even surpassed her sister in weight!
Grace and Lily are holding their heads up very well, are very alert, are smiling and are very nearly laughing. Grace has mastered rolling over and Lily is oh so close to rolling over. Before long, Grace and Lily will be crawling at this rate! We're so proud of them.
Goodbye Reflux, Hello Sleeping Through The Night-- It seems as though (knock on wood) that the nasty reflux may be gone for good! Hallelujah! The girls suffered from reflux for many months making feedings very very difficult and very very very MESSY. Jeremy and I have had our share of being projectile spit up on more times than we can count. This also made it necessary for the girls to sleep on an incline so they slept in their bouncy seats for a long time. Because the reflux seems to have gone away, the girls are able to now sleep in their own cribs, in their own room! In addition to this, they are sleeping THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!! We're not excited at all.... ;)
Visitors--
Lily and Grace have had visits from their Nana, Papa, Nonna, Grandma, Grandpa Ken, Gramps, Aunt Katelyn, Aunt Jen, Aunt Mary, and are going to meet their Uncle Jared & Aunt Erika this weekend! They've also met some friends and neighbors, and had visits from some old friends from the Special Care Nursery--Amy, Alaina, and Brandy!
Nanny Search--
After months of interviewing potential nannies, we decided it's best for Michelle to stay at home this year with the girls. Michelle is happy to be able to spend this time with G & L and be around for all their milestones!
