Fall 2014

This past fall brought about a big change for us. The girls started preschool (2 mornings a week on Tuesdays and Thursdays) and I got a job teaching Pre-K part-time at Little Chapel Preschool as well. I was very nervous about this change. For the past couple of years I stayed at home with Grace & Lily. It really turned out great doing this. The girls enjoyed it, and I really enjoyed a nice balance of work outside the home and being with the girls too. Also, Papa was able to spend a couple of days a week with Lily & Grace as well!

We enjoyed lots of trips to Hillridge Farms (which just happens to be 2 minutes away from our house). We ended up with a lot of pumpkins this past fall! Each time we went, we went on a hay ride which included one free pumpkin from the pumpkin patch per person! The girls love Hillridge Farms- they get to see lots of animals, jump in the hay, feed the ducks and fish, and ride on the hay ride and train. Next year we are hoping they will be able to ride the ponies.

Halloween was fun this year. The girls got to dress up and walk in a parade at school and then have a party. We had our annual play-date for Halloween with our friends from our old neighborhood, and we went trick-or-treating with some neighbors. The girls loved it but didn't quite like that you couldn't just eat the candy at each house. So they went trick-or-treating with the bribe of m&ms and skittles as we walked.

Thanksgiving was at our place this year. Grandma, Grandpa Ken, Gramps, Aunt Katelyn & Uncle Jerod came and we had lots of yummy food!  Nana & Papa went up to Syracuse to have Thanksgiving with family too.
